Today, the Egyptian is a fully working live stage theatre, averaging 100+ events a year, and still shows films a few times a month.
The Egyptian Theatre is operated and staffed by P.E.T. Inc. (Preservation of the Egyptian Theatre) with volunteers, just like you, who love historic theatres, love theatre & live entertainment, or just enjoy giving back to the community. P.E.T. Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non- profit organization and has been the volunteer organization that has operated and maintained the Egyptian Theatre since 1978.
Volunteer once a month, twice a month, whatever fits into your schedule and help us keep this wonderful old theatre alive and open for everyone's enjoyment! Volunteering is a great way to meet new people and enjoy the diverse amount of entertainment the Egyptian Theatre provides for the community. Below is a list of the many ways you can volunteer and support the Egyptian Theatre.
Ushers: Help usher and take tickets for live events.
Concessions: Help sell concessions for live events and movies.
Technical Crew: Help with the operation of shows; spotlight operators, light and sound board operators, stagehands and more.
Special Events: Help with events such as the annual Ride Like an Egyptian bike ride event or the annual Amenti Haunted House.
