Help Support This Wonderful Historic Theatre!

Today, the Egyptian is a fully working live stage theatre, averaging 40+ shows a year, and shows movies (the art, independent and foreign films) on the weekends. Currently we do not produce any of the shows that are at the Egyptian, we simply rent the space out to groups to use.

The Egyptian Theatre is operated and staffed by P.E.T. Inc. (Preservation of the Egyptian Theatre) with people, just like you, who love old historic theatres. P.E.T. Inc., (a 501 (c) (3), not for profit organization), is the volunteer organization that has overseen the renovation and continues to operate and staff the Egyptian Theatre since 1978.

Volunteer once a month, twice a month, whatever fits into your schedule and help us keep this wonderful old theater alive and open for everyone's enjoyment! Below is a list of the many ways you can volunteer and support the Egyptian Theatre.

Ushers: Help usher and take tickets for live events and children's day shows.

Box Office: Help staff the box office weekly and at special events.

Concessions: Help sell concessions for live events and movies that help benefit the theatre.

Technical Crew: Help with the operation of shows; spotlight operators, light and sound board operators, riggers, stagehands and more.

Maintenance: Painting, carpentry, cleaning and simple maintenance always needed.

Haunted House: Builders, actors, ushers, security, and many other positions. This is perfect for groups to get involved with something together.
